&Outside My Window
During the day, I like to sit outside on the porch with my journal. There’s a big puddle in the parking lot that has been there since we moved in, and I thought it was gross at first. But the birds and squirrels here have turned it into something good. The birds take turns, rolling in the dirt and splashing in the puddle. It’s like a spa system! The squirrels chase each other around the bushes, and take a break from playtime with a drink from the puddle… and sometimes splash each other. It always makes me smile.
